Referring to the customary procession of spirits and characters, popular in many folk traditions and present also in Innviertel, the project plays with forms and bodies that inhabit the shadows of collective imagination. The departure question is, what spirits do we need to evoke in the public spaces right now?

The artists propose a ritual of extracting individual and collective spirit bodies - bodies built of bodily sensations, visceral knowledge, dreams and stories, as a method to around and away from attributions and hierarchizing categories such as gender, age, ability, origin, etc. 

The process starts with a workshop with the interested inhabitants of Braunau from the community around ZIMT - Centre for Interculturality, Togetherness and Participation, and ends with a performative visit of unfamiliar figures in bizarre body forms in the city.
